Tell EPA: Add PFAS to List of Hazardous Chemicals!
Submit a model comment created by Salud America! on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposal to add several PFAS chemicals to its hazardous waste management list!
PFAS, around since the 1940s, are known for their resistance to environmental degradation – hence the name, “forever chemicals.”
PFAS have been linked to major health problems.
That is why EPA is proposing to add several PFAS chemicals to its hazardous waste management list under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act regulations. The aim is to protect “communities and drinking water supplies” near 1,700 hazardous waste facilities across the country.
You can speak up to support the regulation of PFAS to protect the health of Latino and all communities.
